Adults

Our Adult Ministry exists to Offer Christ, Grow in Faith and Serve Others.

“But we must grow up in every way
unto him who is the head, into Christ.”
Ephesians 1:4-16

Together we grow in the knowledge of Christ, together we grow as we come into deeper relationship with him, together we sow the seeds for others to discover Christ in their own lives.

MASH

resource type: link
MASH'S (Mainstreamed Adults Sharing Hope) mission is to encourage and support challenged adults, 21 years of age and over, to meet and socialize with their peers, to experience the enjoyment of friendship, fun and social events.   Emphasis is placed on challenged adults who wish to expand beyond their home and be part of the community.

MASH Membership comes from Palm Harbor, Dunedin, Tarpon Springs, Oldsmar, Clearwater, St Petersburg, Trinity, New Port Richey, and Tampa.

Fourteen years ago, two parents, from this church, had the vision to start a social group for their young adults.  They advertised and through word of mouth, people came.

Many of these adults are employed in our community. In their monthly meetings at ELUMC, they plan social activities that include sporting events, dinner parties, dances, movie nights, bowling and an annual cruise.  They have also expanded into the YMCA with Friday night socials and Special Olympic activities.

Challenged adults are individuals who do not easily interact with their peers because of shyness, phobias, insecurities, self-consciousness, and mental or physical challenges.

Potential new members are encouraged to checkout MASH activities!  For more information, contact Ginny Morrissey at 727-942-2375.
